P.A.L.S.
The KHS Soccer PALS (Parents Always Lending Support) has been a cornerstone of support for Mustangs Men’s Soccer for over 30 years. Made up volunteers, their purpose has been a commitment to the helping the coaches and players manage school and sport beyond cheering at games. PALS has been integral promoting KHS Mustang Soccer from needs such as fundraising, spirit, and equipment donation, to our travel needs, game day rituals, and many more scenarios. Their purpose is to support all players and coaches regardless of level of play and we have befitted greatly from their efforts.
- Banquet Volunteer – help with venue set-up, meal arrangement, Audio/Video set up, decorations, etc.
- Media Guide/Program – Helping collect sponsor advertising, artwork and setting up media for creating our program. In addition this will also help with creating game day sheets to further help with sponsors advertising through us.
- Game Day Meals-Help with ordering, pick-up, and delivery of pre- and post-game meals
- Game Day Field Set-up and Take-Down – Hands to help with shelters and events.
- Announcer – Announce pre-game rosters and events during the games. Potential updates around the league, nation, international, current events in the area.
- Clock/Scoreboard Operator – We need clock operators for each team plus backup help . Games start as early as 4:30 for JV2
- Concession during HS Season – Please commit to working concessions. We hope to have no one working concession while their son is playing. Please commit to helping in the concessions throughout the season.
- Concessions during MS Season – Any help will be appreciated. This will occur during the Middle School Season which occurs after the HS Season.
- Marketing/Communications– Reaching out to newspapers, and other news outlets, reaching to sponsors, promoting Charity game event.
- Spirit Night Coordinator and support – We do Spirit nights for many things. Some spirit nights from the past are Future Mustang Night, Teacher Appreciation, Senior Night, Hero Night, Blanket Night, and other events.
- Photographers – Must have background check through district and sideline pass from HISD. Be familiar with night shooting as well as help out with all teams. We need to try to et pics of all players.
- Tournament Hospitality – Organize and help with pot-luck style hospitality room to serve coaches and officials during our HISD Tournament.
- Charity game/Silent Auction – Help with and coordinate with possibly K-Park parent volunteers to make the most of our Charity Night.
- Gear Handout/Fund Collecting – we need volunteers from time to time who can arrive at KHS during the school day to help with collection of fundraising, forms, or handing out gear.
